What we collect
Nothing. Jobvia has no user accounts, no login, no analytics or crash-reporting service, and no advertising. We do not receive your job data, your customers' details, your photos, or any identifier for you or your device.
The only outside code in Jobvia is the purchase system of the store you installed it from: Apple's StoreKit on iPhone, and Google's Play Billing Library on Android. Jobvia itself makes no network requests. The store's purchase system communicates with Apple or Google as described under Purchases.
What Jobvia stores on your device
Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on the device:
- Jobs, clients, scopes, and contract amounts you enter
- Change orders, line items, pricing, and revisions
- Approval records, including signatures you capture and the approval details you record
- Photos, notes, attachments, and the job timeline
- Your business profile and logo
- App preferences and document numbering state
If a photo contains location information recorded by the camera, Jobvia keeps it with that photo on your device. It is not sent anywhere.
This information is not transmitted anywhere by the app. It is removed when you delete the relevant records, or when you delete Jobvia from the device.
Cross-device sync
This version of Jobvia has no cross-device sync. Your records exist only on the device you entered them on. Exporting a backup is how you keep a copy if the device is lost or the app is removed.
On Android, Jobvia is excluded from Android's automatic device backup, so your Jobvia records are not copied to your Google account. Exporting a backup is the only way to keep a copy.
Camera and photo library
Jobvia only receives the photos you actively capture or select. They are stored with the job on your device and are not uploaded by the app.
- On iPhone, Jobvia asks for camera access so you can photograph job conditions as evidence, and for photo library access if you choose to import existing images.
- On Android, Jobvia does not request camera or storage permissions. Photos are taken with your device's camera app and chosen with the Android photo and file pickers, which give Jobvia only the items you pick.
Notifications
Reminders you create are delivered as local notifications, scheduled and shown by your device's operating system. No notification content is sent to a server.
On Android, Jobvia may ask you to allow "Alarms & reminders" so reminders arrive at the exact time you set. This permission only affects timing and gives Jobvia no access to other information.
Purchases
Jobvia Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store on iPhone and through Google Play on Android. Apple or Google processes the payment and manages the subscription. We never see or receive your payment method, billing address, or Apple Account or Google Account details.
The app checks with the store only whether an active subscription exists, so it knows which features to unlock. On Android, Jobvia also checks the purchase's digital signature on your device. Nothing about the purchase is sent to us.
On Android, Google's Play Billing Library sends Google diagnostic information about purchase operations, such as whether a request succeeded. Google handles that information under the Google Privacy Policy. Apple handles App Store purchases under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Exporting and sharing
PDFs, backup files, and anything you share through your device's share sheet leave the app because you chose to send them. Once shared, by email, message, or into another app, that copy is outside Jobvia's control and is governed by whatever service you sent it through. Backup files you export are ordinary files stored wherever you save them.
Your data, and getting it back
Your records belong to you. You can export a complete backup at any time, on the free tier as well as Pro, and importing a backup never overwrites a job you already have. A backup made on iPhone can be imported into Jobvia for Android.
Because we hold no copy of your data, we cannot recover it for you. If you delete the app without a backup, that data is gone.
Children
Jobvia is a business tool for contractors and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with an updated date. Material changes will be reflected in the app's release notes.
