Effective August 24, 2026
The short version
EquipKeep has no server and no accounts. Your equipment records stay on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud database. RJK Digital Ventures LLC cannot see them. We collect no analytics, use no tracking, run no advertising, and include no third-party SDKs.
Who this covers
This policy covers the EquipKeep iPhone and iPad app published by RJK Digital Ventures LLC. It does not cover Apple’s own services, which are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
What EquipKeep stores
Only what you enter or capture: equipment records and identifying details such as manufacturer, model and serial number; maintenance schedules; service history including parts, labour, vendor and cost; meter readings; issues; inspections and their results; expenses; photos; documents such as receipts, manuals, registration and insurance; and a random identifier used for each asset’s QR label.
The QR identifier is a random value. It contains no serial number, no file path and no account information, and it cannot be resolved by anyone without your copy of the app data.
Where it is stored
Records are written to your device first, which is why the app works with no network connection. If iCloud is enabled for EquipKeep, Apple synchronises that data through your private iCloud database so it reaches your other devices. That database belongs to your Apple Account. We have no access to it, no ability to read it, and no copy of it.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, or you turn iCloud off for EquipKeep, everything simply stays on the device.
Camera and photo access
EquipKeep asks for camera access so you can photograph equipment nameplates, scan QR labels and scan paper documents. It asks for photo library access so you can import existing photos and receipts. Both are requested only at the moment you use the relevant feature.
Nameplate text recognition runs entirely on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. Images and the text read from them are never transmitted to us or to any third party.
What we do not collect
No account is required and none is offered. We do not collect names, email addresses, location, contacts, device identifiers or usage analytics. There is no advertising identifier, no attribution SDK, no crash-reporting service of our own and no data broker relationship. We do not sell or share personal information, and there is nothing collected that could be sold or shared.
Purchases
EquipKeep Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the transaction and we never receive your payment details. The app determines whether Pro is active by asking Apple, using Apple’s StoreKit framework, and stores only that yes-or-no answer on the device so the correct screen appears before the first check completes.
Notifications
Maintenance and warranty reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification is sent from a server, and scheduling one involves no transmission of your data.
Diagnostics
If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with developers, Apple may provide us with anonymised crash information. That is an Apple feature you control, and it is off unless you turned it on. We operate no diagnostics service of our own.
Retention and deletion
You decide what to keep. Records can be archived or permanently deleted inside the app, and deleting an asset removes its photos and documents from device storage. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. Data held in your private iCloud database is removed through iOS Settings, under your Apple Account’s iCloud storage, where EquipKeep’s data can be deleted. Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
Your rights
Privacy laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal information a company holds about you. RJK Digital Ventures LLC holds none from EquipKeep, so there is nothing for us to produce or erase. Your data is already in your possession, on your device and in your Apple Account. You may still contact us with any question and we will answer it.
Children
EquipKeep is a tool for tracking business equipment. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Security
Photos and documents are written with iOS file protection, so they are encrypted at rest on the device. Data synchronised through iCloud is protected by Apple’s encryption in transit and at rest. Because there is no server of ours in the path, there is no account of ours that can be breached.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the effective date above and publish the revised version at this address. Material changes will be reflected in the app’s release notes.
